Many destinations carry health risks that can be greatly reduced with the right preparation. A consultation makes sense for trips to tropical or subtropical countries, for longer stays, with chronic conditions, during pregnancy, or when you want to update your vaccination status.
What to expect
We check your vaccination record, discuss your travel plans and recommend the appropriate vaccinations and, where relevant, malaria prophylaxis. Where possible we vaccinate on the spot. The official platform healthytravel.ch of the Swiss Expert Committee for Travel Medicine serves as a reliable reference.

Good to know
Vaccinations recommended specifically for travel abroad are not covered by basic insurance; the travel consultation and travel vaccines are usually self-pay (some routine vaccines may be covered).
Yellow-fever vaccination may only be given at officially authorised centres – ask us early if you need it.
Ideally book 4–6 weeks before departure, as some vaccinations need time to take effect.
